Tennis & Golfer’s Elbow Straps
Tennis and Golfer’s elbow straps should be worn on the forearm, an inch or two down from the elbow. The idea is that it squeezes slightly in the area of the tendons in the forearm before they fix to the boney bits that stick out on the outside and inside of the elbow. Many conditions benefit from medical aids from time to time to support the affected area, allowing it to recuperate. Easing off on how hard you are working the affected arm is part of the treatment too!
The strap restricts the movement of tendons in the forearm (in much the same way as a cable tie around cables).
A simple one-size fits all is good. Don’t be put off by all these athletic mens arms if you’re a lady! Some come in different sizes so be careful to choose the right size for the circumference of your forearm.
