Telephone Headsets

Whether you hold your phone or clamp it to your ear with your shoulder it is poor ergonomically and can cause any of your tendons between neck and hand to fatigue and poses similar RSI risks to computer use.

Pain issues are well treated with vibration therapy such as a portable massager and the root cause can be addressed through using a headset.

Wired headsets are very affordable but it’s easy to forget the wire and having your headset ripped off your head or trip you up when you move. For that reason we recommend wireless solutions and some integrate PC, mobile and desk phone!

Wireless Headsets for Desk Phones

There are two types: Bluetooth and DECT.

  • Bluetooth is compatible with many mobile phones. This would be a good choice if you want one headset for your desk and mobile phone.
  • DECT is compatible with many cordless phone systems. This would be a good choice for homes and businesses where you already have DECT cordless phones – this would be just another cordless phone on your network. GAP stands for Generic Access Profile and means that GAP compatible handsets can be registered to any brand base units that are also GAP compatible.
